Al Williams:
The Design Eye Behind ‘Wolf & Fox’
I am a self-taught hat-maker who has always developed my own level of style & fashion. Being raised in a home where my grandparents were Style Icons, I was taught how to sew and about the bespoke and custom side of fashion at an early age.
At the age of 9, I received a Black Cowboy Hat from relatives in Texas for Christmas. I wore that hat daily until it didn’t fit anymore. In the 4th grade, I demanded to wear that hat for my school photo and the love of hats hasn’t disappeared. Even into my teenaged years when I was the only one wearing a hat, my fashion set me apart.
Fast Forward to 2019, I remember attempting to locate a very specific hat. I searched and searched but was unsuccessful in finding it. With much research and many dead-end attempts, I realized within myself that to find “THE HAT” that I was dreaming about, I needed to create it. So, over the next few months I researched the art of Hat Making and discovered that not many videos or books existed - at that time it was almost a lost art form. At that point I realized a passion within and a Hat Maker was born.

Eventually, my research led me to understand that if I wanted to become a professional hat maker, I needed to locate tools and materials and develop my own techniques. Through much trial and error, - and believe me there were many sleepless nights trying to figure it out - I developed a level of expertise in the craft and became a bespoke Hat Maker & Designer.
In 2020, with the help and push of my wife and daughter, ‘Wolf & Fox Hats’ was born. I had the vision and understanding that a Wolf & Fox Design may not be for everyone, but it is for those with a desire to be Unique, Noticed and Set Apart. At Wolf & Fox we stand on the foundation of unparalleled quality, resounding character and a genuine love for every customer.
